“Mr and Mrs J P Clausen presented this cup for a Cadet dingy race in 1929. The first race for the cup was won by their son, H Clausen in his cadet Magpie………, he retained the trophy.
Over 60 years later the Magpie Cup was acquired by Alan Rice and returned to the Club at a presentation during the Centenary Opening Day ceremony in 1997. Since that time it has been awarded for a race held during the Winter series.
